On October
18th, 2002 the Strathcona Firefighter's Honour Guard led
the dedication march for the Strathcona Fallen Fire Fighters Memorial.
The parade of more than 200 uniformed fire, police and emergency medical
personnel arrived at the Memorial Site at 1045 hours. Following the unveiling
of the Memorial Plaque, participants lowered their heads as Deputy Fire
Chief Brian Parker sounded the Last Alarm at the site for the very first
time.
