2005 "Salute to Emergency Services"
September 9th and 10th, 2005, will represent one of the busiest weekends for members of our department as we host three prominent emergency services' events (Salute to Emergency Services).

First on deck, are the comedy shows scheduled for Friday and Saturday night at Festival Place. This year's shows feature Andrew Grose and John Wing (2005 Just Because Comedy Poster ). Tickets for the 2005 Comedy Nights are available for purchase through Captain Nixon or Lieutenant Capcara on a first-come first-served basis or can be ordered on-line through Ticketmaster. ORDER ASAP to ensure availability.

Next in the weekend line-up is the Strathcona Fallen Fire Fighters' Memorial March and Ceremony on Saturday morning (2005 Memorial March ).

Immediately following the Memorial March, department members will cross the parking lot and attend the opening ceremonies for the Combat Challenge (SCES Combat Challenge ).

Following the Combat Challenge, we will (once again) attend Festival Place for the second of the two Comedy Nights.
